October 28 2020 Meeting Canceled

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel the meeting at the last minute.  Apologies to those who wanted to attend.  You can always send us your concerns via email between meetings as well or just call us on the phone.

We will be composing a letter to the Heyford Park Parish to be discussed at their next meeting.  We hope to improve communication with them for the benefit of the whole village.

We will also be sending a letter to Dorchester to ask about how we can communicate maintenance requests better and how we can explain the service charge budget clearer to residents.

We have requested an urgent meeting with Dorchester regarding more dog friendly temporary green space.  The Upper Heyford Parish Council have agreed to join us in that meeting as they negotiated the original dog park and still have the same concerns about the lack of space in HP during construction and the impact that has on their green space.Dog Park Plan 2020

Please email estates@dorchestergrp.com if you support the need for more green space.  Of course we continue to ask for play parks, paths and green space included in the construction plans to be done as soon as possible.

Road Diversion and Bus Info

Both directions of the bus service will be from the same stop on the south side of Camp Road across from the new Sainsburys.

From Dorchester:

Dear Residents

Road upgrade works are planned for the eastern section of Camp Road for the period 20th July to 28th August 2020. These works have been agreed with, and requested by, Oxfordshire County Council and are intended to resolve the current defects  issues with gullies, ramps and failing road surface.

Public bus services will also have to follow the diversion but will serve the bus stops in the new village centre area by entering and leaving via the western end of Camp Road. The existing bus stops by the school and caravan park will not be in use for the duration of the road works.

We would like to apologise for any disruption and inconvenience caused whilst carrying out these essential works, but by the end of the August, this section of Camp Road should be free of defects and be constructed to a standard that OCC will be will be prepared to adopt and maintain.

Bungalow Gas Meters

About 80 of the bungalows will be receiving new gas meters and utility boxes.  This will require only minimal access to properties, primarily from the loft.  Each home will be contacted prior to work as normal.  Some sampling of the soffit boards and the gas line burial will happen in advance and wont require access to your home.
